All the Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll – Getting on top of it! /the mountain/

Was it on my eight or my ninth birthday, I cannot remember. My family took me to a certain big city, that’s just two hours travel time by car, from my hometown. We went to some fancy place where I saw technology, new and amazing. At one corner, we stopped, where lots of famiclone games were on a display. They even played demos on many big screens at the back. I saw “Aladdin” by Hummer Team and I really wanted to get that cartridge. However, my mother and brother were more interested in another game, to which I payed little attention at the time. There was a demo of “Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll”, which seemed really amazing at the time, what with its isometric perspective. Given that we never saw any game like it before, looks like that were easy to fool one into thinking that it’s something advanced way beyond! We bought the cartridge, boy, was it expensive! Calculated in dollars, it was around five or so. As far as cartridge pricing went, we always thought that anything five and above was too expensive for a video game. I was really sad about not getting the “Aladdin” cartridge, but at the same time, I was really curious and looking forward to playing the new, unknown game. It brought joy to our whole family, especially the first level, as I was still trying to figure out the controls and whatnot. As the days went by, me and my brother managed to advance bit by bit, level by level. We uncovered the secret of the swimming gear, but alas, our journey was bound to end on the geysers level. Not because we couldn’t handle the difficulty of it, but because the game was broken. There was an error in the code that the pirates made when they were making the cartridge. It made the geysers show up once and then every object [the geysers and also the enemies] in the level disappeared, making it unplayable. This was a pretty unique moment in my life, as it was the first time where I was introduced to the concept of a game being broken in a certain way. We even tried to find ways to get pass the error that occur, but nothing managed to work out. What’s even more sad is that we never knew about ALL the existing warps in the game, some of which could have let us skip the level that breaks the game. I lend the cartridge to a girl from my class a few years after and she never gave it back. FREAKIN’ GIRLS!!!

Snake Rattle 'N Roll NES DONE!

Time passes. I grow up. Memories shatter and new ones are created. I become the founder of Laboratory Room 19. I am now the best video game player person in the universe. I stumble upon “Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll” once again and my burning passion to avenge my childhood “Me” and make him happy explodes like a nuclear warhead.

After all these years, I sure had trouble getting used to the controls once again. Three playthroughs is all that it took! “Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll is a pretty interesting take on the classic “Snake” game we all love and adore. Apart from the isometric view, there is a good amount of decent platforming, various gimmicks to keep each new level fresh and interesting, along with neat enemies, like giant feet that jump around in certain patterns, with the potential of squishing you. The object of the game is to look around for colorful pebbles, / I like to believe that they are actually gumdrops./ consume a certain amount of them and then go to a weight scale, which will open the exit door, if your snake is fed enough. You attack things with your tongue. Holding the attack button extends your tongue and that’s a good fact to have in mind. Certain enemies require constant, rapid attacks, otherwise they heal back if you can’t input enough damage in a given time. We had famiclone controllers with turbo function back in the days. But doing this on the keyboard was quite the nightmare! Some of the lesser enemies in later stages are manageable, but the giant feet are outright really annoying to kill. For one thing, it is actually easier to avoid them, rather than wasting time. Time limit is not that big of a deal in the early stages, but becomes really picky in the last two stages.

So what happened once I got back to the geysers level and managed to play it the proper way? The section of the level that I never managed to play turned out to be pretty tough. Especially near the exit. That one place! Timing geyser jumps along with the strong water currents sure can eat through your lives counter. You have to land perfectly on a one tile square, without overshooting your momentum! I was really happy about what I found in the next level! There was swimming and fish gumdrops! Did I mentioned that the pebbles/gumdrops appear in various forms? Like, with legs, wings, springs and whatnot. It’s a pretty unique feature and it makes the game really interesting! Anyways, the swimming level is pretty easy and it holds lots of power -ups, which you are bound to need, given the nature of the next two levels. The last levels of the game. The no- fun zone. Ice town Canada! Everything is icy and slippery and these levels eat lives like they are NOTHING! I was really frustrated at those levels! I even thought that 1CC run would be impossible, because of how hard those levels felt! But others managed to do it, so why couldn’t I?

Practice makes perfect, but there is once instance that can really ruin it for you! The stair climb of the last level, right before the boss. I can’t even remember how many people and things I cursed because of it. I’m not sorry! I like it when games can ignite your passion via their difficulty scaling. Eventually, I managed to learn how use the right momentum in the icy stages. I learned that jumping a lot and not taking your time with the platforms can be quite punishing. As long as you take it easy and you take notice of where the ice platforms are going to slide you to, even the stairs can be a piece of cake! The final boss battle puts you against an ordinary giant foot enemy, with lots of HP. This battle isn’t as hard as it’s more of an annoyance, really. Learn the foot’s patterns, position near the center and try to follow its trail once it gets past you, while trying to input as much damage as possible, until you lick the foot clean and make it explode. Just the way how I satisfy my clients…

The music in this game is pretty great and memorable. There is also a 2 – player coop., which makes things pretty easier, as long as both players take their time to wait for one another. Defeating the giant feet in 2 – player mode is way, way easier. The final boss itself is a big joke against two snakes!

The game’s difficulty spike goes quite up once you get past half of the game. If you take your time to learn the game though, it’s pretty satisfying being able to beat it. Isn’t that how it is with hard games in general?

Snake Rattle 'N Roll Genesis DONE!

Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll was also ported to the Genesis. Compared to the NES title, there are a few differences between the two. Enhanced and additional graphics. New bonus areas that really, really suck. New and remastered soundtrack. In the flying carpet level, the carpet at the end of the level that disappears every few seconds can be disabled and turned into a normal carpet, if the player kills the giant foot near there. In the geysers level, the last, hard part was changed. Now you can use the geyser at the end to jump strait to the exit door and the giant foot for that area was removed. The controls in the game are much more fluid and momentum is easier to master, especially in the ice levels. Enemies are easier to kill, but giant feet feel like a bit harder to take down now. The lowest layer at the start of the geysers level has been changed too. By change I mean that someone placed that one jumping spike at a really rude place. REALLY RUDE! You either have to get pixel perfect near it to kill it on the one square platform or just sacrifice one HP to bypass it. While the giant feet feel harder to kill, the final boss felt easier to take down, for some reason.

Once you beat the game, there is an extra stage that was not presented in the NES version. While it’s not all that complex in structure, what makes it a bit annoying to complete is the time limit. If you fail to beat it in time, you get sent back all the way to the start of the level! It can get pretty frustrating, especially if you don’t get good pebbles from the dispensers.

For the most part, the Genesis version feels a bit easier, but I really enjoyed the extra content and the few changes here and there. I also beat the high score, which resets you back to zero and beyond. I outta do a video of this at some point…

Sneaky Snakes DONE!

Did you know? There is a sequel to “Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll”! It’s for the Game Boy under the title “Sneaky Snakes”! This one however drops the isometric view and it’s just a side scrolling platformer. The main theme of the game is still intact and it works surprisingly well with this perspective. Old pebble types make a comeback and there are new ones. I really enjoyed the bee/ wasp ones! They just latch on to you and take you all over the level! The levels are pretty fun and the game is not all that hard, even towards the end. There are many new gimmicks to keep your attention, like the balloon sections that I really, really hated. There are also instant dead spikes at some point, which I bypass pretty easily, without even feeling bothered about their nature. There is also that one section where you push a ball and use it as a platform. It’s actually way easier than it looks at first. You just have to TAKE IT EASY! SNAKES ARE ALL ABOUT TAKING IT EASY!

Most people just cannot cooperate with their primal, animal instincts when it comes to video games. That’s why there are rich people on the internet.

That’s why I’m writing a post about video game snakes.

“Sneaky Snakes” features lots of fun and unfair bonus areas, which you are bound to fail in your first try, simply due to the lack of knowledge regarding which thing takes you to the exit. I remember there were things that you collect, but you can’t tell apart one another and hidden in one of them was the exit. I played these snake games more than six months ago…

The last boss in this game is outright weird and for some reason takes quite some time to put down. As a boss, its better than the foot for sure!

You get to save a lady snek. Cool game!

“Sneaky Snakes” is a decent platformer. Would suggest to all my friends and lovers!

Snow Bros. – [Extra levels edition]

Initially, I was planning for this to be “All the Snow Bros.” special event for the holiday season. Sadly, the idea was dropped off around few days before Christmas. There are various reasons behind that, one of them being that I could not run properly two of the games on my PC machine – Those were the Amiga version of “Snow Bros.” and that one awful- looking, fan- made, arcade sequel under the name of “Snow Brothers 3 – Magical Adventure”. I would not say that it was impossible for me to make them work, rather, I felt quite lazy towards the end of the project. I did play through the rest of the games. However, with the arcade games, I felt like I needed to explore them additionally, mainly regarding regional differences and difficulty settings. I did 1CC the original Arcade game and the sequel, which I really, really enjoyed for its variety, what with the new characters and a new takes to some of the level design. I also played that one Spectrum homebrew, which I liked as an idea a lot, but the execution was just… well… The game wasn’t all that fun for me, honestly…

So I decided to write about the Genesis and Game Boy versions for a time being. Also, a bit about the NES one, which I completed around the time I made this site. At some point in the future, I’ll probably get back to the other titles and try to finish and post about them as well.

There are enough unfinished volumes in the vault anyways…

Snow Bros. is your typical floors- type of game. Similar to the “Bubble Bobble”, “Don Doko Don” and “Rod Land” games, along with many others that wanted to bathe in the glory of the hyped genre of the late 80s/early 90s. By “floors”, I refer to games, where your objective is to clear various one- screen rooms full of enemies, one after another, up until a potential boss battle, which usually marks the end of the game. Also, collecting letters and spelling out words for extra lives! Some of those games have boss battles on every tenth floor or so. “Snow Bros.” is one of those games. The bosses in it are quite easy compared to the bosses of other games from the genre. The “Snow Bros.” games as a whole are quite easy to get into. You control a dude made out of snow, who shoots , believe it or not, SNOW, that can turn enemies into snowballs. Then you push them and magic happens! Power- ups are in the form of differently- colored potions that improve your movement speed/shot range/shot power.There are also FOOD pick ups that just give you points. Usually, the plot revolves around saving a princess or two from the clutches of a demon or something. As a snow person, the main character has an affinity for SUSHI! Now you know how good the “Snow Bros.” games are! If you kill all enemies in one go with a snowball, cash rains upon the land. Sumo men might try to harm you, but if you get them, they will try to bribe you for the sake of their own safety. Bunch of cowards!!! No wonder the occupy the highest, hard to reach [?] platforms!

I had Snow Bros. for my Famiclone when I was a kid. Me and my brother loved the game for its fun, innovative idea of turning baddies into snowballs and pushing them around for laughs. Maybe we laughed, I don’t remember. We never knew why sometimes we would get one of the two different endings. Punishment for using continues was a factor we would have never guessed. We weren’t really trying to, in first place. Another thing that I remember was that the game would unlock automatically “time trail” mode after we beat the game. You cannot select which difficulty level you want to play though. Rather, it would randomly choose from one, each time you start a new game. How weird… The Famiclone was a freak of gaming nature indeed! Famiclone controllers were pretty bad and would break constantly. That’s why we didn’t play all that much “Snow Bros.” together with my brother. Same goes for other games as well. At some point, when I was visiting one of my billion cousins in another town, she showed me her Famiclone, which had a “Snow Bros.” cartridge as well. Heh, she thought I was new to video games… WHAT A SILLY GIRL SHE WAS! Her second controller was also damaged, but I beat the game for her solo, regardless. GOOD TIMES!

The NES version of “Snow Bros.” is one of the easiest in the series! The long invulnerability time at the start of each stage lets you position pretty much wherever you want. This lets you clear floors pretty quickly and set up some good combos. The NES version does not provide you with extra lives for scoring high amount of points. Instead, you get to gamble on a slot machine, after each boss, for them or for letters to spell that 1- life awarding “SNOW” word. The pick- up that spawns the dudes that give you letters is also as rare as chicken tooth. Additionally, there are various spots on some floors, where if you shoot constantly, a thing might appear in the form of a food item that gives you a lot of points or a money bag that sends you to the slot machines again. However, those slot machines are different! They award you with skipping floors, instead of lives  and letters.

Bosses are pretty weak! They don’t spawn enemies as much as in the other versions of “Snow Bros.” Apart from that, they also have fewer hit points, which makes them easier to bring down. The devil duo boss battle has only one of the guys and you use the flames which he spawn to turn into snowballs and push at him.

Enemies as a whole are not all that vicious in the NES version, like they are in the others. This version lets you easily pick up a momentum and the learning curve is really generous. As a first “Snow Bros.” game, it’s a pretty solid choice! I didn’t had a choice though, but I like how things turned out for me!

Snow Bros Jr. DONE!

The Game Boy version is titled “Snow Bros. Jr.”! It’s a bit of a downgrade in terms of gameplay, what with worse momentum, controls and the lower number of enemies on some floors. Bosses that you fight in pairs are following a solo career in this version, making things significantly easier. This is the only game where the plot is not about rescuing princesses, but fighting and restoring the sun which was corrupted by forces unknown. [?] That’s right! There is a special, extra boss fight in this version, along with the addition of a whole new and unique world- set of 10 levels! New enemies too! This version lacks a 2- player mode, but it has its own unique mini- game after each boss fight, which is similar to the one in “Super Mario Land”.

It’s not the best version ever, but it’s not something completely awful either. It’s a good pick for that one afternoon, where your boyfriend or girlfriend choose to go to a book club, instead of asking you out for some sweet “Atlantis no Nazo” , BDSM- gaming session with nachos.

Snow Bros. Genesis DONE!

Here we are with the Sega Genesis version of “Snow Bros.”, which I honestly think is the best one in the series. First of all, it has a sweet anime opening sequence, which might not seem all that great, but that’s just you being picky, really! I love that intro! It’s silly and I love it!

In all honesty, this version is like the original Arcade one, BUT polished in many, many aspects. There is the difficulty level select option, along with one being able to adjust the setting of a certain number of starting initial lives to their preferences. The gap in the difficulty between NORMAL and HARD mode is not all that big, but it’s certainly noticeable. Bosses have more hits on HARD and some enemies have a longer range on their projectiles, along with the tendency of spamming them to a potentially annoying level on certain floors.

The last boss from the original Arcade game has been adjusted a bit, wherein the rate of spawned bubbles has been reduced. I really like this change! That boss was such a hate in the arcade version, it was truly my one and only complain about the game – The billion spawned bubbles were really not- fun to deal with, I’m glad that the Genesis version was not ruined by this factor!

Another cool thing about the Genesis version is the fact that they made snowball looping easier to achieve! In the Arcade games and in the Genesis version, [Also in that awful homebrew [?] ] when you push a snowball towards the bottom of the level and there is no flooring, just like with the main characters and the enemies, it will loop from the top to the bottom again, potentially annihilating everything in it’s path, like all enemies on the floor for example! Not only does that makes some level more easier to be dealt with, it also makes cash rain more often, which helps with obtaining additional lives and overall, it’s fun to do and watch! The NES lacks this feature. I can’t remember about the Game Boy version though, I think it lacks that as well!

That’s not all though! The Genesis version also contains two additional set of worlds, that’s 20 more levels, with two unique boss battles! The story continues! Once you rescue the princesses, the snow bros. get kidnapped instead! NOW YOU ARE THE PRINCESS/ES and you are ’bout to whoop some ass! These additional levels do not feel all that tough, they are actually fairly balanced in terms of difficulty. If anything, getting points on them is pretty easy, given that some are designed to be cleared with a single snowball loop right from the start! The levels are fun! The additional boss battles are pretty challenging, especially the final one, where you have to pull off your best princess moves ever! Best of all, the game rewards you with more silly and sweet animated cutscenes! How can you not love this version???

Well, maybe I’m deaf! I don’t tend to talk to music in video games, unless it’s a complete turtle poop. I liked the music in each of these three versions. “Snow Bros.” series have some good tracks that play well on each system, really!

This is the first and potentially not the last post where I talk about five games that I’ve played for the new Halloween- themed volume. What is October to you? To me, October is the month where I hide inside my room during the cold weather and shove all the poached pears in the world inside my abyssal mouth. Spook times!!!

Basketball Nightmare [Sega Master System]

Basketball Nightmare DONE!

The only enjoyable thing in this game to me were the animated cutscenes that play during the slam dunks. Indeed, they are pretty rough and stiff, but I find them charming nevertheless. The overall gameplay feels like a watered- down “Tecmo NBA Basketball [NES]”, where you can also stand in front of your active opponent, which stops them right in their tracks, either until they realize half a minute later that the ball can be passed down or you steal it from them. There is quite the weird RNG when it comes to successful shots, regardless of their range! I liked the variety of the monster teams that you get to play against in the story mode. However, playing and beating each of them ends up being quite the boring task and I have no idea how I did it on my first try! Wait, I do! I kept blocking their active players!

Drac’s Night Out [NES]

You are Drac and you have to go out on a date with this one girl each day, for five times in a row! Every round, you have to exit your home first and then find the house where the girl lives. Exiting your home is pretty challenging, given that it gets invaded by villagers constantly. Lucky you though, you can activate traps or call for the help of various monsters. If a villager is hurt, you can consume them for blood [HP] and you transform once you’ve accumulate enough of them. Once you transform, you turn into a bat, which lets you go through a part of the level fairly quickly, ignoring all danger and whatnot. There is also a fall damage and shoes that you can collect which grant you speed and the ability to jump over wide gaps, villagers, traps and something that I didn’t knew until I finished the game was that you can jump on villagers to stun them! The house is divided by five sections and for each round, you have to exit through the door on the lowest floor, on the same section you woke up. On each new round, Drac wakes up at a different location on the highest floor. During your descend, you are free to go to other sections, which is also a key element at certain times. As the rounds go by, some traps and monsters can harm you as well and the villagers speed and invasion pace increases by a bit. Here’s few hints from me:

/ You can jump over rolling rocks and wheels if you are close enough to them and time your jump well./ [Without shoes!]

/Careful when you transition to the first section of the house on round two, as it is possible to get stuck quite early, but I guess you can [EAT] your way out of it. [?]/

/At the start of round three, to avoid fall damage when you transition to section four, you can start your jump from section three./

/The light switch needed to remove the darkness in round four is located two floors below you, on the left. It’s quite safe and easy to access, but it took ME a while to find it! At the start, I went as far as to play half of the section in complete darkness…/

/Grinding villagers for transformation can save you lots of time, mainly doing annoying transitioning from one section of the house to another and dealing with hordes of pesky villagers. There is also a switch towards the end of round five which you can access easily as a bat, rather than trying to go for the shoes and learn the platforming momentum, which will cost you a few falls./

Drac's Night Out 1.2 DONE!

The second part of the game takes a different turn from the early platforming and puts you into a top- down perspective. As Drac, now you have to locate the house of the girl, which of course is done by asking/ consuming people for directions and items. The early rounds are quite generous as they provide you with a map and the bridges in town are still intact. Later rounds, the game make you find a map from a merchant and the bridges are removed. How important those factors are depends entirely on the girl’s location, which is always randomly generated. You know, given that she is the only lady in town that can afford to dress in plain, semi- dark blue [?], it’s obvious that she comes from a rich family that probably owns half the town. There is also now the classic mob with pitchforks and torches, which are sadly, an instant GAME OVER for Drac if they come into contact with him. While I do think that the time limit within’ the game and Drac’s HP meter are quite generous, getting stuck on a path between two mob groups is probably one of the worst feelings in the video game universe, especially on later rounds, ESPECIALLY if you are going for a no- death run… Here’s be hints from me:

/As houses have both front and back exits, the same applies to entrances! I know, it’s amazing! Few people would be willing to enter through a door they can’t see though…/

/Need to cross the river but bridges are out? Trapdoors inside some houses can lead you across. You just need to find the correct houses!/

/Mob groups are the worst thing in the universe, but they can’t harm you during your transformation. [In this part, Drac transforms into a dog/ or wolf???] Pick up some shoes to boost your speed up even further during your transformation and you’ll be flying through half the town in now time! [Not really, but still, the feeling is pretty great!]

Scooby-Doo: Curse of Anubis – Pyramid of Doom!

Scooby-Doo - Curse of Anubis - Pyramid of Doom! DONE!

I was never all that big of a fan on the whole Scooby- Doo series. I remember watching a few episodes, back in the days, simply because there wasn’t anything else, more interesting, running at the time. So do I remember. At that time, the kids in my school would go crazy over the series for some reason, making conversations and topics about it for the whole day. When I was asked about my opinion, I would state that I have no interest in things that are not/related to] video games and at the time, our country wasn’t big on importing any Scooby-Doo games whatsoever.    [?]

“Scooby-Doo: Curse of Anubis – Pyramid of Doom!” is a flash game that I picked randomly a few days ago. It features and isometric view and pushing block elements, along with a limit regarding how many steps you can make. The goal is to reach the exit door in each room. Blocks serve as a mere obstacles and are not required for a specific arrangement. The ten levels that I played felt pretty decent. Maybe there could have been more, with additional gimmicks? It took me two tries to complete the game with what I assume is the highest possible score?

The thing about the game is that you have limit on your steps, not an actual time limit. Thus, you can take your time to plan your path ahead quite well. The whole isometric perspective might add a bit of a weird feeling to it, but it’s nothing too complicated really.

Scooby-Doo Mystery [Sega Genesis]

Scooby-Doo as an adventure game was a fairly satisfying experience. One can argue as to how it can’t match other titles in the genre of the time in terms of visuals and ESPECIALLY sound, but as a whole, I personally had no problems with any of those. The game features two chapters which are pretty short, but there is enough puzzle- solving and exploring to satisfy even the veterans of the High Mountain Adventure Game Club Dragon Breath VII. Some items are quite well hidden, so I suggest looking carefully and interacting with things in many ways as possible. There are no dead ends or bullshit- logic at hand, which is nice. Not always, but as a whole, quite nice. If you are in the mood for some casual and comfy adventure game, featuring the two blockheads from the Scooby-Doo series, you are in for quite the ride!

I like how the game gives you indirect hints/ direction through Scooby, who follows you around everywhere. You even get to interact with him at a certain, single, one point! It’s a nice little touch, but I liked it quite a lot.

Sweet Home [NES]

This is a survival- horror, top- down perspective game that I’ve put on a hold even since I learned about it around 2009. I saw it first on some forums, then I briefly saw some LPs, it was suggested to me by friends and foes, by my own self and eventually, there it is! 2017, Halloween blast baby, “Sweet Home”…    IS REALLY SWEET! Man, I really do regret not playing it sooner…

Sweet Home 1.4 DONE!

In the game, you take control of five people, who get locked inside an old mansion – house- building, which turns out to be haunted. Finding an exit and learning more about the ghost who locked you up are your main priorities, as well as trying to keep as many members of your party alive as possible.  You can control each person separately or you can put them into groups of up to three people. Each character has their own special thing, like one can open locked doors with a key, other can cure ill- stats, burn ropes and so on. If someone dies, you lose on their special item, but that doesn’t mean that you’ll get stuck! There are additional items that can replicate the effect of the special item that the death member possessed. There is a maid in the game and I really liked that, since you don’t see those often in games like this, especially with the power to ACTUALLY clean garbage and open new paths! Honestly, the whole cast of the game is pretty awesome, despite how simple and generic they might seem at first sight.

Sweet Home 1.2 DONE!

Each character has a limited inventory space, so a few reasons to keep as many people alive as possible are to keep items organized and to avoid needless backtracking. There are quite a lot of items within, the game – Some are needed to open new paths, other are needed for solving a certain puzzle. There is also an item which restores HP and WEAPONS! That’s right! Apart from just going around the house, collecting items and solving stuff, you also get to FIGHT! Randomly generated encounters put the lovely cast of “Sweet Home” against some pretty neat foes! Not so neat in terms of names, but visually, every enemy in “Sweet Home” I found to be pretty cool. Spooky cool!

Sweet Home 1.3 DONE!

You get experience from fighting enemies, which makes your characters stronger, up to a maximum level of 20. The battles are easier when done in a big group of three and with acquiring better weapons. While you don’t need to level up every character in the game, you do need at least three or two of them to be tough enough to face further encounters and the boss of the game. Having all your characters leveled up and well equipped lets you move them more freely, potentially dealing with encounters easily and using them from whatever part of the game you might need them. I think that Emi and Akiko are pretty important during the whole course, as locked doors and ill- stats are the things most presented within’ the game. Thus, having them leveled up and geared well is a good strategy for a successful run.

Sweet Home 1.1 DONE!

Leveling up comes naturally and no actual grinding is needed as you progress. I like how rewarding leveling up and obtaining good weapons is, to the point where it makes your group virtually untouchable by attacks from normal encounters. The logic behind the puzzles is pretty solid and easy to follow. There are two VERY WELL hidden items, which I didn’t managed to find until after I finished the game. Honestly though, they are not all that great, not game- breaking at all! More like optional, depending on how much free inventory space you can afford, really.

Playing this game, I could see how it managed to inspire various series and titles that came years after it. “Sweet Home” was like a grand feast, but I’m full. Full, full! Not just nap time- full. Damn! What a good game!

How I scored 100 000 000 points on a really hard video game with the power of this NEW ENERGY DRINK!

100 000 000 score points. 5 hours and a half play time. Around 200 breath- taking loops of level one! Not a single bathroom break! How is that even possible you might ask?

With the brand new energy drink “NUKE”, you’ll have all the energy to explode and take on the most toughest of video games – Like the “Kemono Souls Friends” and “Pizza Malaria of Edinburgh.” You’ll also dissolve and die in a short while after the first can, but surely, you’ll be remembered for your deeds. Look at what I’ve done for example! I am now part of history, baby! Video Game history! Do you see yourself being able to score that many points? You do? No! You don’t! Don’t do it! It’s impossible! I’ll find you if you do it! I really will!…

Bird Week – A journey through the seasons!

Upcoming Winter event? Not this time! This is going to be a MULTI – SEASONAL event! Starting from December 21, I’ll attempt to beat every existing level in the NES title “Bird Week”, all in all until I get the crash screen [That’s 999 levels in total!], which I’ll also try to record.For the long journey ahead, savestates are allowed, but only between levels, for the sole purpose of saving my progress, so I can take a break and do other things.Like sleeping and eating food.Also, going to the toilet, work or attempt another suicide.And of course, playing other games,worse or better, depends on the perspective.Getting a GAME OVER will result in a reset.Updates regarding the progress of this event will be posted on my twitter, until I accomplish my goal. Given that, I’ll probably be done in 10 years…

…but becoming a master of the bird seasons is a title quite worthy. This will be a challenge that I am more than likely to regret entirely!
